I got my kids each a kitten for christmas but we went yesterday to get them. They are sisters and are about 4 months old. My daughters is black and her name is Pepper, and my son got a fluffy grey tabby with white paws...her name is Alex. They are pretty cool so far. Today they got to know my little chihuahua and I was suprised...she took to them faster than any new puppies or dogs we have ever introduced her too. She just doesnt seem to feel threatened by them, she played with them and ran around the room while they watched from the coffee table. Tommorrow the cats will get to meet one of the outside dogs. We are gonna let them meet a new dog each day and then in a week or two when they are accustomed to the dogs we will be able to let the cats go outside so they can tree climb and cat around to their hearts content.

Four months old. Nice age. Just make sure that you have them spaded before they are 5 months old or you may become grandmom to a couple of litters of kittens.

My little Amanda was just 5 months old when she got herself with kitten. Cost me more when I took her in to the vets to become a "it" cat.

How much fun are new kittens!  I'd get another kitty if I wasn't sure that the queen cat we have now wouldn't stop speaking to us. :)  Heck, when Piko was just 5 weeks old she hissed at and swatted a german sheppard at the vet's office and it ran in terror!! lol

Oh yeah, they picked them out...the reason why we drove all the way to Galveston for them is 'cause we got them for free and they are already fixed...so no babies...the lady rescues them from the pound and adopts them out. She askes for a fee in her add, but when I got there she said to keep the money and put it toward the kittys. She said she doesnt advertise free because of research lab people. I will try to get a slide show up...or..I will post my myspace addy if I get them up on there.
