Hi All,

I have been having a terrible time with insomnia and have tried all the meds and still...no sleep. Which only increases my pain. I was just thinking the other day, if someone offered me a guaranteed sleep, what would I pay for it? Probably whatever it cost..... just me thinking. I can only watch so much TV ...and read ....and clean my house in the middle of the night.... I end up doing some crazy thinking.

I also was just reading a book about a woman who went out shopping and couldn't remember who she was or where she lived. I was thinking she must have fibro, but it turned out to be hysterical amnesia.

I hope everyone is doing ok, I was going to say well, but we aren't are we? Probably you can tell I am extremely tired today, hope to leave work soon and go home and sleep.

Post soon!

Mindy

what the heck is hysterical amnesia?  well, its probably not funny, just sounds funny.

i cant sleep either. zanax does help me get to sleep - for about 2 hours.

doc just gave me flexeril to try.  waiting till after the holidays, because i did try it the first night and it didnt help me sleep one bit, but i was draggin badly the next day. seemed like a very delayed reaction.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I think the amnesia was brought on by a traumatic event. I read almost any kind of book, but like Danielle Steele, Nora Roberts, Nicholas Sparks, etc.... I am thankful that I am a reader and often spend half the night reading.

This insomnia is starting to make me crazy, sometimes I get like one hour of sleep and then am awake the rest of the night. But like I said, I read or watch TV. I have tried just about all the sleep aids. I wish I could have a sleep study done, but right now we don't have health insurance so.....I am hoping to soon. My hubby and I are self employed and the only insurance we can get has huge deductibles.

Happy Holidays to you. I am having the family up for dinner on Christmas Day, so I hope to try to rest up for it today and tomorrow. Don't you hate having to do that? Post soon.

Love Mindy
