New poster so be gentle....
I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 35 years. I am 39 now and have been doing the best that I can. I have gained some weight over the years and have lost a little mobility. I was curious as to the type of tennis shoes you wear? I have a hard time reaching my feet to tie my shoes and have tried different kind of shoes that slip on but they do not offer the support of a "normal" shoe.
Try out lots of shoes and buy the ones that are most comfortable and give you the support you need. Some running stores have a computer gizmo to analyze your gait and recommend shoes for you. Once you get your shoes, get elastic laces, then you can just slip them on and off.
I also like Dr. Scholl's gel insoles. I have to stand to work so comfy shoes are a must.
All my life, I always wanted to be somebody. Now I see that I should have been more specific. ~Jane Wagner, The Search For Intelligent Life In The Universe, performed by Lily Tomlin
