hi, i was just wondering if theres anyone out there who has ever severed the flexor tendon of their thumb and could not flex/bend the upper part of thumb? if yes, how long(weeks) did it take before they saw some improvement in motion?. Reason why im asking this is because its been five weeks since injury and been going for therapy for 2 1/2wks but so far i cant bend upper thumb finger although i do feel some kind of tension when i try to. Also to mention in therapy today while doing an active bending exercise i felt a really sharp pull at the site of injury and a little pain afterwards, when i was asked to do it again its like id totally lost control no tension, nothing. told the therapist i was workingwith who only started working as one a week ago(coz i asked) and she told me since the surgery wound on the outside had closed then its probably fine, which i didn't believe- she didn't even seem to know what she was talking about. Could this possibly mean the tendon repair pulled apart again? is there a way to find out whether the tendon is still intact or not? and if it did come apart, does this mean i have to start all over again with another surgery?
