Home In this discussion: The Top Ten Kim and I thought it would be fun to
compare our Top Ten Arthritis Websites Lists. Neither of us knew which
sites the other had picked, but we but suspected they would be quite
different from the other. How wrong we were....let's see how they
compare: Kim's List:
Here's a list of my favorite general
arthritis sites. I'm guessing they're going to be quite different from
Tina's because I have absolutely no medical background, and I look for
sites that are written in plain English, so I don't have to translate
the information in order to understand it. They're in no particular
order - it just seems that when I'm looking for arthritis information -
no matter how much digging I do - I usually find the information I'm
looking for at one of these websites (if I can't find it on Arthritis
Insight, of course!) so they're all number one with me.... Tina

Hey! Don't put that medication in your mouth until you know
everything about it! Medication Sites; watch your wallet and avoid Health Fraud; and find information on specific Body Parts

Tina's List:
The Arthritis
Pages of dr doc on-line
A little heavy on the medical terminology but the first place I go for
accurate, no-frills medical information.
Arthritis @
About.com
The wonderful site guide, Carol Eustice, manages to cover just about
everything under the sun that has to do with arthritis. I like it
because it's done by someone with arthritis.
The Arthritis
Foundation
Needs a little more personality at times, but they have a lot of
information packed into the website.
Intellihealth
Arthritis Zone
They touch on a little bit of everything.
Arthritis-
Doctor's Guide to the Internet
LOTS of the latest news about arthritis. I HATE those little pop up
surveys though!
National Institute
of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases
Sometimes a little difficult to navigate, but they do have a lot of
information and the latest on government studies.
American College
of Rheumatology
Fact sheets, criteria for diagnosis and more.
John Hopkins
Arthritis
They only cover OA and RA, but they cover them well.
Medicinenet
Focus on Arthritis
A very complete list of disease descriptions.
University
of Washington Arthritis Source
A HUGE group of articles including sex and arthritis, a subject some
sites are afraid to touch.
Arthritis Canada
- Includes the Arthritis Society, the Canadian Rheumatology Association,
the Canadian Arthritis Network,...

of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases
